This project is called Study group collector or Szakkör-gyűjtő (in Hungarian), a platform to collect different study and activity groups across high schools. While the project for now is fictional, the need is real. With SzGy, any high-school student could sign up and attend meetings held elsewhere and access facilities and equipments in other schools, whether that’s filming equipment or a basketball-court. In Hungarian public education, teacher’s extracurricular activities are unpaid, thus rare, and equipments are rarely, if ever, replaced, making access to theater groups or preparing for a competition unlikely for most students.
Due to the similar functions, the site resembles meetup.com, with more default privacy to accomodate the underaged users. The registration requires the OM-code (which every student has in Hungary) to prevent people who are not currently students (or staff) from signing up.
